About IranFiles
Because silence is complicity.
Why We Exist
In January 2026, Iran witnessed one of the darkest moments of the twenty-first century. In the span of just two days, more than 30,000 people were killed for protesting against the ruling government. Unarmed civilians—women, youths, and ordinary citizens—were met with overwhelming and systematic violence.
This was not an isolated incident. It was a deliberate and coordinated act aimed at silencing an entire society. Streets became execution grounds, hospitals were overwhelmed or attacked, communication channels were cut, and families were left without answers. Many victims were buried without names. Many stories were erased before they could be told.
Our Mission
In the face of censorship, forced amnesia, and state-controlled narratives, IranFiles exists to document and preserve the truth. We are an independent directory cataloging activists, journalists, organizations, media outlets, global solidarity protests, and initiatives fighting for freedom in Iran.
Our goal is not commentary or political branding. Our goal is documentation—creating a searchable, verified record of the movement that cannot be erased as easily as what is silenced.

Privacy & Security
We collect minimal personal data and do not require user accounts. The directory is designed to be fast and accessible, even under censorship conditions and on slow connections.
Our Principles
"What is written cannot be erased as easily as what is silenced."
IranFiles stands against forgetting. It stands for memory, accountability, and historical record.
We believe future generations have the right to know what happened, how it happened, and who paid the price for demanding dignity and freedom.
Join the Effort
This is not just a website. It is an archive of resistance. A record against erasure. A narrative against enforced silence. If you know individuals, organizations, or events that should be documented, submit them to help build this collective memory.
